Approach

How DataExos engagements work.

DataExos helps clients begin at the right level of maturity, from Express entry points to managed operations, custom implementation, embedded support, or strategic advisory.

UNDERSTAND CHOOSE PATH OPERATE Discovery Fit Scope THE PATH Build Govern Optimize

The shape of an engagement

A clear sequence, sized to where the work actually is.

An engagement should not begin with a sprawling discovery exercise or a contract larger than the problem. DataExos works through a deliberate sequence — understand the operating reality, confirm fit, define a bounded scope, and choose the path that matches the maturity of the work.

Clients start where the business case is clear and move up only when the next level earns it.

The sequence

Seven steps, from first conversation to ongoing operation.

Each step is bounded and observable. You always know where the engagement is and what the next step requires.

  1. Discovery

We map the operating reality first: the systems in play, where work originates, where it gets stuck, who owns each process, and which decisions carry consequences. No tooling is assumed before the problem is understood.

  2. Fit assessment

We confirm whether DataExos is the right partner for this specific need — and are direct when another path or provider fits better. Fit covers the problem, the systems, the constraints, and the level of governance the environment requires.

  3. Scope definition

We define a bounded scope with a clear outcome, the systems it touches, the review points it needs, and what "done" means. Scope is sized to the work, not to the largest engagement possible.

  4. Path choice — Express, managed, custom, or advisory

With the scope clear, we choose the engagement model that matches the maturity of the work: a fixed-scope Express entry point, an ongoing managed operation, a custom implementation, or a strategic advisory relationship. The four paths are detailed below.

  5. Build & deploy

We implement to the DataExos-grade standard — integrations, workflows, data flows, and any AI capability designed with ownership, permissions, error handling, and documentation built in. Deployment happens in stages, not in one risky cutover.

  6. Govern & document

Controls are part of the build, not a layer applied after. Each engagement leaves behind documented integrations, defined review paths, role-based access, audit trails, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints where the stakes require them.

  7. Optimize & mature

Systems do not stay finished. We monitor, maintain, and tune what we deploy, and help clients advance to the next rung of maturity when there is a clear business case for it.

The path choice

Four ways to engage.

The right path depends on the maturity of the work — a defined entry point, an ongoing managed operation, a custom build, or strategic direction.

Express

DataExos Express

Fixed-scope, fixed-price entry points for organizations that need a defined start without a broad scoping process.

Best fit: a clear, contained outcome and a fast, practical start.

Managed

Managed operations

Ongoing Managed IntegrationOps and Managed AI Agents for teams that need connected, monitored, governed, AI-ready systems over time.

Best fit: workflows and integrations that must keep running reliably under management.

Custom

Custom implementation

Strategy, architecture, implementation, and systems buildout for more complex AI, cloud, data, integration, and workflow initiatives.

Best fit: multi-system work designed and built to the DataExos-grade standard.

Advisory

Strategic advisory

Executive advisory, embedded delivery support, vertical-specialist collaboration, and technology partner vetting and sourcing.

Best fit: decisions and direction beyond a single implementation.

The constant

Every path is run the same way.

Whatever the path, the operating discipline is constant: systems designed beyond the demo, controls built in from the start, and human authority kept visible and accountable where the stakes require it.

The engagement model changes with the maturity of the work; the standard does not.
